Technical Sales Engineer

Overview
Our client is a supplier of high-performance components used in high-voltage power conversion. They provide integrated circuits and diodes enable compact, energy-efficient AC-DC power supplies for a vast range of electronic products including mobile devices, TVs, PCs, appliances, smart utility meters and LED lights. They also have IGBT drivers that enhance the efficiency, reliability and cost of high-power applications such as industrial motor drives, solar and wind energy systems, electric vehicles, and high-voltage DC transmission.

We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive candidate with an ambitious approach to the assignments and someone who works with determination and persistence to achieve goals. Technical education in electronics is required and successful candidate will be given Extensive Training Program for approximate of 2 months.

This position will be based in Cambridge, UK covering Eastern Europe and will be reporting to the Sales Director Distribution Europe.


Key Responsibilities and Activities Include 
  • Regular meetings with our European customers and Distributors.
  • Drive demand creation at Distributors to achieve annual revenue.
  • Work with Distributors to maximise pipeline and increase design win count and revenue.
  • Work together with Technical Team to successfully achieve design-wins.
  • Manage monthly customer forecast and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
  • Provide regular training to distribution branch offices.
  • Carry out market research and monitor competitor products.
  • Define available market and share of market by applications.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum education (bachelor’s degree)
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office package
  • Full driving license
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in either English and Turkish / English and Spanish / English and Polish is essential for this position.
  • Knowledge in power electronics with emphasis on power conversion AC-DC
  • Knowledge in ICs & semiconductors
  • It is a customer facing role and it requires 75% travelling across the region
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role
  • Ability to build strong, influential relationships
