Key Responsibilities And Activities Include

• Responsible for the design of firmware ensuring that design activities are coordinated per the development procedure
  
  
• Establish and maintain project schedules
  
  
• To develop DSP based power supplies
  
  
• Develop firmware for new and modified standard designs
  
  
• Develop associated documents to support sales and customers
  
  
• Develop test plans to verify firmware Support test engineering department
  
  
• Support other design teams for firmware programming and to train them
  
  
• Work with assigned engineers to optimize design, performance and cost
  
  
• To work as a team member to participate in other projects to solve technical issues or seek help when needed
  
  
• Provide guidance to technicians/junior engineers or perform hands on design verification testing
  
  
• Demonstrate willingness to adhere to product development procedures
  
  
• May assist in root causes analysis of existing product failures or provide customer support as needed
  
  
• Contribute & participate in internal design reviews
  
  
• Other duties may be assigned
   
  
  

Education And Experience Requirement

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent
  
  
• Master of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent is a plus
  
  
• 5-7 years of Firmware development experience within the power supply industry or related industry
  
  
• Knowledge of DSP based power supplies
  
  
• Skills about different physical communication protocol like I2C, UART, CANBus, RS485 and should also be able to write DSP driver for these peripherals 
  
  
• Skills also in developing protocol like PMBus, Modbus, CANOpen and TCP/IP
  
  
• Skills in digital control loop and digital filter
  
  
• Ability to define DVT plan, oversee and review DVT data and resolve non-compliances
  
  
• Must have the ability and willingness to keep up with new topologies, technologies and trends within the industry
  
  
• Must have the ability to work effectively within a team environment
  
  
• Knowledge of power conversion principles, topologies and switching techniques and technologies
  
  
• Experience with electronic packaging, electronic power supplies and power conversion products
  
  
• Understanding of Control Theory
  
  
• Ability to write and analyze design documentation
  
  
• Ability to make economic judgments with respect to product cost and manufacturing process
