Business Development Manager
(Southern Europe)

OVERVIEW
Our client is a global leader in providing essential power solutions to the Industrial Technology, Healthcare and Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment sectors. They design and manufacture power control solutions and listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are a fast-growing business, serving our global blue-chip customer base from 29 locations across Europe, North America, and Asia.

As a BDM, you will work as part of the team across Europe, selling directly into large OEMs, growing the business in important, existing, new, and emerging markets by building strong relationships with target customers, designing in specialist products portfolio, and managing the sales cycle. You will also help and support the KAM & ASM sales teams based in Europe to sell these complex products and services to their customer base.

Key Responsibilities And Activities Include
  • Identify and sample new business opportunities within the specified target applications/markets
  • Apply your technical knowledge and work with the applications team to solve customers’ power problems.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals.
  • Negotiate and win business.
  • Look for opportunities to cross sell the client complete portfolio and added value engineering solutions.
  • Support regional ASM’s & KAM’s to win business in existing accounts for ESG and complex solutions.
  • Maximize margin contribution for each order by understanding both the client and customer costs and needs.
  • Maintain the Salesforce database to provide accurate Order & Revenue forecasts for each project within your sales area.
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Good level of education (Graduate or equivalent)
  • 5+ years technical sales (electronics/power supplies) ideally for OEM
  • Evidence of successful relationship building with key strategic partners
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong numerical and data skills
  • Well-developed commercial understanding
  • Evidence of good judgement with solutions focus
  • Highly effective communicator including written/spoken English
  • Solid IT skills (preferable very good Excel, experience with Sales Force/SAP desirable)
  • Able to drive, willing to travel including flying, as necessary
  • Able to quickly assimilate technical information
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Well organised
  • Ideally international experience, working across Europe
  • Strong local language skills.
