JOB SUMMARY

The RF Test Engineering Manager will oversee and provide leadership to a small team of junior and senior-level Test Engineers while reporting to the Senior Manager, Test Engineering. As a technical leader and manager, this person will be responsible for organizing the team to successfully complete assigned projects which will include planning test development activities to support new products, participating in long-term road mapping for production test capabilities, and presenting project updates to the manager level project reviews. This person will be making decisions that allow for the highest quality products while staying aligned with corporate strategies. There will be times when the person will be expected to be hands-on with their team to solve difficult problems to keep projects on track.

This position requires proven experience in developing ATE test solutions for high volume production of RF, Analog, or Mixed-signal Integrated Circuits. This position will be responsible for all aspects of test development for new products, including the development of load boards, probe cards, software, and working through ATE qualification process to prove the solution is stable for production. This position works closely with Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing to deliver the highest quality products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE

This position has Management responsibility for:

  • Optimizing team performance by motivating team by example, influence, training and structure
  • Managing the career development of team members through goal setting and providing feedback
  • Helping recruit, select, and train new employees
  • Assigning and prioritizing tasks for team members such that overall project plans can be supported
  • Incorporating corporate strategies and technical data when making decisions that impact new products or projects
  • Representing team with presentations in manager level project reviews
  • Practicing hands-on training with team to solve difficult problems
This position has Technical responsibility for:
  • Leading efforts for continuous improvement of processes followed by the test engineering team
  • Owning TE responsibilities for products assigned to the group
  • Reviewing results and reports provided by team, provide constructive feedback
  • Responsible for following processes & procedures relating to new product development
  • Participating as a hands-on contributor for projects that are assigned to the team
  • Designing and developing necessary hardware and software to create a complete test solution
  • Transferring production test solution to off-shore test facility when necessary
  • Working closely with OSAT’s on turnkey test developments, performing test feasibility studies, test planning and providing technical oversight
  • Understanding schematic design while working with vendors through the layout and fabrication process for load boards and probe cards
  • Measurement system analysis (GRR) 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 12+ years BS in Electrical Engineering or 8+ years Master’s degree, with relevant experience in test development
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing individuals and/or teams of ATE test development projects and resources
  • Demonstrated record of releasing high volume products into a production environment, including wafer sort and package/module test
  • In-depth knowledge of RF, Analog, or Mixed-signal Integrated Circuits
  • Demonstrated understanding of test methodologies for Analog, Digital, and RF circuits
  • Experience with Rack and stack ATE systems including VXI / PXI and/or commercial ATE platforms; LTX (Cohu), Teradyne, Advantest
  • Demonstrated ability to release new solutions offshore
  • Excellent software skills with demonstrated proficiency using a high-level programming language such as C/C++, VB/VBA, Python, etc.
  • Proven experience in developing ATE test solutions for high volume production of RF, Analog, or Mixed-signal Integrated Circuits
