OVERVIEWOur client in Irvine, CA, is a fabless semiconductor company focused on developing innovative Analog and RF components necessary for simplifying the design of next generation wireless products. With antennas, beamformers, and other Analog/RF ICs, they are driving to become the premier supplier for 5G, True5GTM millimeter wave, and all future wireless devices. This is an exciting time to join a start-up company, chaired by one of the biggest names in the Semiconductor industry who was the CEO for a well-known semiconductor company that sold for billions of dollars.
THE ROLE
As Quality Assurance Manager you will be working within the manufacturing and operation organization in a technical quality contributor role. You will be involved with many aspects of a multi-faceted, year-long risk assessment activity, as our client prepares to launch a portfolio of new products into high volume production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE
• Drive Quality activities in the RFIC (radio-frequency integrated circuit) /Mixed signal ASIC/Antenna projects.
• Secure risk management in the RFIC/ASIC/Antenna projects
• Secure and establish yield improvements forum together with the supplier.
• Track new technology development in areas including wafer foundry, back-end wafer processing, package assembly, and electrical test.
• You will drive team to achieve DPPM goal, customer complaint (RMA) cycle time targets and deliver high quality 8D reports to close RMAs.
• Support Product Change Notification process both internally and with customers
• Be the contact person regarding RFIC/ASIC/Antenna related issues in product production.
• Be the quality contact person towards RFIC/Mixed Signal ASIC/Antenna suppliers regarding qualifications and other QA activities. Drive lessons learned within the internal projects and with the supplier according to our established process.
• Sync with the main RFIC/ASIC/Antenna Engineering and Project Manager/VPs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, or similar). Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred. • 5 years min, >10 years preferred of experience in the areas of Quality Product Engineering, Assembly/Test or Wafer Foundry.
• Candidate should be detail oriented, with good problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with statistical data analysis recommended
