Mechanical Engineer
Cork, Ireland

OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to be part in developing power supplies for Industrial, IT, Household, Medical, Electro-mobility and Solar Applications in Cork, Ireland.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for proposing a mechanical and thermal concept for power supplies by selecting the appropriate materials and manufacturing processes. The candidate will collaborate with the Power Electronics designer.

Key Responsibilities And Activities Include

• Propose concepts to the customer during the RFQ phase or binding process
• Build datasheet with rendering views
•  Find out trade-off between the mechanical, thermal, EMC, safety and manufacturing constraints
• Sketch ideas to share with team
• Detail design of the mechanical part
• Drawing, assembly drawing, instruction, label, leaflet 

Education And Experience Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Power Electronics is a plus
• Good knowledge of the materials
• In depth knowledge of the CAD tool such as SOLID EDGE
• Good knowledge of the main manufacturing process (plastic injection, die cast, machining, encapsulation...)
