Manufacturing Process Engineer 

Gloucester, US

  Overview We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer  to be part of a major supplier of critical power conversion technology to the medical, technology, industrial, and defence markets in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will have a key role in documenting and developing the test and process documentation for both existing and new products to introduce them into the company factories overseas, through successful ramp

Key Responsibilities And Activities Include
  • Assess and develop complete assembly and test processes to create a transfer package to introduce the products in a new facility

  • Write and document assembly instructions, working with design engineering

  • Write and document test process and procedures, working with design engineering

  • Work with the designated manufacturing location to assess and build capability there

  • Work with Design engineering to develop jigs and fixtures to aid assembly

  • Work with Factory program management to coordinate launch

  • Create the capacity model for the line and control charts

  • Transfer the products to the line, and provide key leadership during ramp

  • Travel will be approximately 25-30% of the time, mostly during transfer and ramp

  • Other duties may be assigned as required

Education And Experience Requirements
  • The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant work experience and a track record of product transfer and launch in remote manufacturing facilities

  • Knowledge of Minitab, and Analytical Software

  • Experience in resource and capacity planning

  • Experience in creation of documentation, jigs and fixtures for assembly and test processes

  • Knowledge of electronics and soldering

  • Labview experience a plus

  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, Word

  • Excellent communication skills
