Overview

Our client for this role is a well-established, high reputation power engineering business, positioned for significant, profitable growth. They use the knowledge and experience of highly skilled staff to design and supply optimal power conversion solutions to a wide variety of water treatment, hydrogen production, scientific research, high-end industrial, cathodic protection, renewable energy, aerospace/defence, oil and gas and surface finishing applications.

The Company operates in the ‘Design-In’ business to ensure repeat orders over the long term and uses a product range of in-house designs, customized units, value added systems and 3rd party products to achieve this. Their detailed knowledge of applications and markets allows product specifications to meet customers’ needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities And Activities Include 

  • Accountable for developing and driving the strategy and growth of this established business to reach its full potential
  • Delivering sales and profit through digital development, building sales capability, empowering, and enabling an engaged workforce and adapting ways of working to effectively respond to changing market conditions
  • Own and develop key customer and wider business relationships to enable the greater company to meet its business objectives
  • Finding and developing new opportunities for the business
  • Responsible for the Strategy Performance and Operations, Market Focus and Brand Management, Customer Service and Customer Engagement, Product Range, Pricing and Margin Profit and Financing Health and Safety
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a Senior Management or Director level role
  • Confidence in technical sales environment
  • Business partnership experience
  • Worked in B2B technical solutions environment
  • Ownership of P&L for a business or large function
  • Skilful in commercial impact and strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent customer service skills and sales driven
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff ability to work as a member of a team
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise the work of self and others
  • Understanding multiple sales channels (Ecommerce, trade, branch, retail)
  • Ability to engage at a technical level with customers, suppliers, and staff
  • Resilience and an ability to get things done
  • Non-essential knowledge and experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Industry knowledge and Sound product knowledge

  • Basic Salary is £110-120k, Shares, Car Allowance
