We’re looking for an experienced Electronics Design Manager to be part of the major provider of extraordinary lighting products for the automotive and marine market across a diverse field. This stretches from smaller sized companies to large global corporations.

Ultimately, you will provide timely and reliable electronics design support to the organization, enabling us to gain and retain stakeholder confidence.


Key Responsibilities And Activities Include

  • Design of electronics for LED lighting for automotive and related industries

  • Liaise with stakeholders (customers, suppliers, subcontractors, internal departments) regarding technical requirements

  • Oversee and peer-review the work of subcontract design resources

  • Support and advise Quality department on electronics-related faults and questions

  • Support and advise Sales Team and Customer Care Team on electronics-related questions

  • Oversee and carry out test and prototyping activities as required

  • Provide quality PCB layouts and electronics designs based on proven methodologies

  • Ensure all electronics, software, firmware designs meet our requirements

  • Exploit newly proven technologies

  • Create and maintain our electronics design standard and specifications

  • Convey electronics topics and complexities to stakeholders in simple language

  • Collaborate with mechanical and optical design teams to achieve the best result within project boundaries

  • Work to the guidelines of IATF16949 and contribute to tools such as  DFMEAs
     

Education And Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent

  • Designing for stringent EMC requirements (CISPR25, ECE Regulation 10 etc)

  • Electronics design for automotive LED lighting

  • Hardware, firmware and digital control design and development

  • Working knowledge PWM control and automotive protocols such as CAN and LIN

  • A good knowledge of embedded software design, and able to work to ISO26262 standards
