Overview Our client for this role is a supplier of high-performance electronic components used in high-voltage power-conversion systems. Their integrated circuits and diodes enable compact, energy-efficient AC-DC power supplies for a vast range of electronic products including mobile devices, TVs, PCs, appliances, smart utility meters and LED lights. Our SCALE™ IGBT drivers enhance the efficiency, reliability and cost of high-power applications such as industrial motor drives, solar and wind energy systems, electric vehicles, and high-voltage DC transmission.

We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive candidate who will provide design support and technical advice to the company's customers worldwide. Ultimately, he/she will be involved in 80% design work and 20% time visiting customers.

Key Responsibilities And Activities Include

• Compiling of technical specifications for gate driver designs
• Circuit design of gate drivers including selection and evaluation of suitable component
• Layout of printed circuit boards including compilation of related production data for external manufacturing partners
• Low and high voltage evaluation of gate driver designs
• Review an analysis of competitor products
• Compiling of related gate driver documentation in English language
• Technical support towards Sales and Marketing
• Technical support towards customers and business partners
• Communication and bridging function between customer, sales, and marketing
• Compilation of technical papers and editorials including of presenting them at public conferences
• Attendance at exhibitions as technical peer for customers and business partners
• Giving trainings for internal and external customers

Education And Experience Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or other deep technical background in power electronics
• 5+ years relevant experience
• Experience in power electronics especially related to gate drivers and inverter systems and/or IGBT, SiC, GaN and MOSFET technologies
• Experience in circuit design and layout of printed circuit boards with CAD systems like for instance Altium Designer
• Experience in characterization of gate drivers, power semiconductors and/or inverter system
• Proven capability in handling complex projects and being effective while interfacing with different teams
• Very good command of spoken and written English
• Be willing and having the flexibility to travel on demand
