5G RF Embedded Software Engineer (San Diego, California)
 

Overview

We’re looking for an open-minded, talented 5G RF Embedded Software Engineer to be part of a fast-growing company focusing on connected products within consumer electronics and IoT devices in San Diego, California.

Key Responsibilities And Activities Include

• You will implement C/C++ embedded drivers for cutting edge RF and modem hardware technology for 5G
  
  
• You have a proven experience commercializing cellular modem products in the North American market
  
  
• You will participate in the product development life-cycle from bring-up, optimization, verification and commercialization
  
  
• Highly geared towards Modem 4G/5G power and thermal optimization on Qualcomm’s cutting edge Modem technology
  
  
• You will perform mmWave bring up and factory support tasks, such as provisioning, fusing, as well as Operator bug fixes
  
  

Education And Experience Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s in computer science or equal
  
  
• Strong, demonstrable coding skills in C and C++ or Java
  
  
• Experience with RF test equipment measurements for power/thermal or spectrum or waveform quality
  
  
• Multiple years’ experience in cellular software development, debugging, and optimization
  
  
• Understanding of North American Cellular carrier requirements
  
  
• Experience with debugging embedded software using an in-circuit emulator (Lauterbach Trace32 JTAG) for an ARM processor
  
  
• Experience in wireless modem or smartphone devices certification in association with 3G/4G/5G
  
  
• Experience with cellphone products development based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 4G/5G modem implementation is preferred
  
  
• mmWave bring up experience
  
  
• Good understanding of CA Band combination
  
  
• Strong documentation and writing skills
